A case has been registered at the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police Station against the operators of the Telugu Scribe X account for allegedly posting confidential security information related to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Delhi visit. The complaint was filed by the Chief Minister’s Chief Security Officer (CSO), K.B. Franklin. A similar complaint had earlier been registered at the Khairatabad Police Station on July 14. Following directions from the city Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes), the case was transferred to the Cybercrime unit and re-registered.
According to the complaint, highly confidential information concerning the Chief Minister’s Z-plus security arrangements was allegedly published on the Telugu Scribe X account. Officials had circulated a wireless message regarding Revanth Reddy’s June 13 Delhi visit, including his minute-by-minute schedule and security arrangements, to senior officials in Delhi and Telangana. The message reportedly contained sensitive details required for security coordination. The complaint alleged that these details were published on social media while the Chief Minister’s visit was underway, despite there being no permission to make the wireless communication public. Police are investigating how the information reached the social media account and whether an official unlawfully shared the details.
