Masha Allah Scrubber Scam: Key Accused Remain Silent During First Day of Police Custody

The main accused in the Masha Allah scrubber fraud case, Ankusham Raja and his wife Suma, reportedly remained tight-lipped during the first day of police custody. According to information, the two allegedly avoided giving clear answers to several questions and maintained that they knew nothing about the alleged fraud. Investigators had prepared more than 50 questions and confronted the accused with information gathered during the SIT investigation, but the first day’s questioning reportedly ended without yielding significant information.

The court has granted five days of police custody, from September 3 to 7, for the couple, who are accused in the multi-crore fraud case. Police took them from Vijayawada District Jail for medical examination before bringing them to Satyanarayanapuram Police Station, where they were questioned separately under the supervision of North ACP Satyanandam. Investigators questioned them about how the alleged fraud was carried out, the amount collected from the public, how the money was used, and who was involved in the alleged diversion of funds. With four more days of custody remaining, police plan to intensify the questioning and seek clarity on the possible involvement of other individuals in the case.
