Minister Nara Lokesh expressed strong dissatisfaction over the conduct of several TDP MLAs, criticizing them for failing to stay connected with people and for neglecting their responsibilities.
During a public grievance meeting held at the Mangalagiri TDP Office yesterday, thousands of citizens gathered to voice their problems directly to Lokesh. He patiently listened for over four hours, but was visibly displeased with the situation, questioning why people had to travel all the way to the central office to seek help.
Lokesh sternly asked the MLAs why public grievances were not being addressed at the constituency level. He made it clear that from now on, Praja Darbars must be conducted regularly — both in their respective constituencies and at the Mangalagiri party headquarters. He emphasized that ministers themselves should attend these sessions to stay in touch with ground-level realities. In a serious tone, Lokesh pulled up several leaders for negligence. He rebuked Kavali MLA Kavya Krishna Reddy for failing to visit the family of a senior leader who had sacrificed his position for the party, calling such behavior “unacceptable.” He also questioned the silence of BC leaders when YSRCP members made caste-based comments, warning that inaction on such matters would not be tolerated.
Turning his attention to RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana, Lokesh expressed frustration, asking,
“Why aren’t senior leaders taking responsibility? Should everything be handled only by me and Chandrababu garu?”
Lokesh’s words sent a strong message across party lines — that discipline, accountability, and direct connection with the people are non-negotiable for TDP’s leadership going forward.
