Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ is continuing its sensational run at the worldwide box office and has reportedly crossed the ₹200 crore gross mark. The film’s strong theatrical performance has now triggered fresh interest in its digital release. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights, and according to earlier reports, the movie was scheduled to premiere on the platform on September 18.
However, with the film still attracting audiences to theatres, speculation is rife that the makers may reconsider the OTT release date. Industry buzz suggests that discussions between the producers and Netflix are reportedly underway, with a possible delay aimed at extending the film’s theatrical run and maximising box-office revenue. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, ‘Irumudi’ features music by GV Prakash. An official confirmation regarding any change in the OTT release date is awaited.
