The BRS organised a massive protest in Koutala of the Sirpur-Kagaznagar constituency against what it described as the failures of the Congress government during its 1,000-day rule. Former MLA Koneru Konappa led the programme, which was attended by former minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao. Farmers reportedly raised concerns over their lands being included in the 22A prohibited list. Harish Rao alleged that 42,867 acres in the constituency had been placed under the list.
Harish Rao assured the farmers that the BRS would continue to support them until the land issue was resolved. He said restrictions under the 22A list were affecting access to bank loans, land registrations, Rythu Bandhu benefits, fertilisers and crop insurance. He also criticised the Congress government over the implementation of welfare schemes, pensions and Kalyana Lakshmi. Harish Rao said the issue would be raised during the upcoming Assembly session.
