BJP Andhra Pradesh president P.V.N. Madhav said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is being organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years of public service as Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Minister. The month long campaign will be held from September 17 to October 17, with programmes aimed at taking awareness about Central government schemes and development initiatives to the public while undertaking various service activities. He said teachers, Anganwadi workers, sanitation workers and others involved in social service would be honoured in recognition of their contributions.
Madhav said an ‘Innovation Challenge’ would be organised to encourage creativity among young people and support those working on new innovations. Schools across Andhra Pradesh will also conduct competitions such as drawing and elocution, with a total of 13 types of programmes planned during the campaign. He said a large event involving public representatives from across the country is planned in Delhi on October 17. Madhav also said people had voluntarily participated in the ‘Aashirwad Deepam’ programme by lighting lamps outside their homes and wishing Modi good health and longevity. He appealed to Modi’s family members, the public, youth and service organisations to participate, stressing that the campaign is meant for everyone.
