

India–Russia relations are set to receive a fresh boost as Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in India on Thursday for a two-day visit.
Putin will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the annual bilateral summit. The two leaders are expected to discuss defence cooperation, trade expansion, investments, energy partnerships, and advancements in science and technology.
Sources indicate that both countries may sign several key agreements, including a major deal related to the joint production of 200 helicopters.
The summit will also focus on strengthening strategic ties and reviewing global and regional issues of mutual interest.
Putin’s visit is seen as a crucial step in taking the long-standing India–Russia partnership to the next level.
