Pawan Kalyan, known for his multifaceted career, has added another rare international honor to his journey. He has been officially inducted into Kenjutsu, the ancient Japanese swordsmanship discipline, earning global recognition in the world of traditional Japanese martial arts.
Long before his rise in cinema and politics, Pawan Kalyan began his martial arts journey with intense training in karate and related combat forms. Over the years, his practice evolved into a deep study of Japanese samurai traditions, philosophy, and discipline, supported by more than three decades of continuous dedication.
His martial arts expertise has often reflected on screen through several films, where his combat techniques gained widespread appreciation. Recognizing his lifelong commitment, prestigious Japanese martial arts institutions honored him with the Fifth Dan certification and inducted him into the historic Takeda Shingen Clan, a distinction rarely awarded outside Japan.
Trained under renowned Budō expert Hanshi Prof. Dr. Siddiq Mahmoodi, Pawan Kalyan also attained advanced mastery in Kendo, blending physical skill with philosophical depth. This achievement places him among a select group of Indian personalities who successfully bridge cinema, classical martial arts, and combat philosophy on a global platform.
