Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, along with fellow MPs Ashok Kumar Mittal and Sandeep Pathak, met President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. The leaders, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party, alleged that the Punjab government is acting with vendetta and misusing administrative machinery against them.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Raghav Chadha strongly criticized the Punjab government, accusing it of harassment for political reasons. He alleged that AAP workers wrote “traitor” outside the residence of Harbhajan Singh in the presence of police. He further claimed that water supply to a factory owned by Rajendra Gupta, a Rajya Sabha MP and Padma Shri awardee, was stopped. Chadha also alleged that state-backed agencies were being used to intimidate him and his supporters on social media.
