Harichand Jat, alias Harry Boxer, who is allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has been detained by authorities in California. The action reportedly followed inputs shared by the Delhi Police and the Haryana Special Task Force. Originally from the Bansur region of Rajasthan, Harry Boxer previously worked as a boxing coach in Jaipur before allegedly joining the gang and operating an extortion network from abroad. According to officials, he faces cases related to murder, attempted murder, assault, firing incidents and extortion.
Officials further alleged that Harry Boxer claimed responsibility on social media for the firing outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in February this year. He is also accused of sending threatening audio messages and texts to actor Ranveer Singh while demanding ₹20 crore. Investigators have reportedly linked him to the network of Randeep Malik, which allegedly supplied weapons for the recent firing incident targeting Tiger Shroff. DCP Praveen Tripathi said Harry Boxer and Anil Pandit were part of the Randeep Malik gang and communicated through encrypted channels to receive instructions. The CBI has reportedly initiated the legal process to bring the accused back to India.
