Actress Sai Pallavi has grabbed attention with her comments about Tamil star Dhanush at the pre-release event of the upcoming action film Om, which also features Malayalam superstar Mammootty. The event was held in Chennai ahead of the film’s scheduled release on November 20. Noticing several fans carrying political flags at the venue, Sai Pallavi expressed surprise and addressed Dhanush, saying she would support any decision he makes. However, she added that she was worried he might step away from acting, just as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has done. She said she wished Dhanush would continue entertaining audiences as an actor.
Responding to speculation about his possible entry into politics, Dhanush said that claims suggesting someone was guiding him behind the scenes were untrue. He stated that only God guides him and his fans stand firmly behind him. He also made it clear that his current focus remains entirely on cinema. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Om features Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans in important roles. The film has music by Sai Abhyankkar and is jointly produced by Dhanush, Shraddha Agarwal and Ajmath Jagmag under the banners of Wunderbar Films and R Take Studios. It is scheduled for a multilingual release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on November 20.
