Surekha Vani stated that her Instagram account had been hacked and that her personal information was being exposed and circulated without her consent. She urged meme pages, media platforms, YouTube channels and social media users not to repost or share the content. She also warned against using the issue merely to gain views, reach or publicity. Further, she said that she would identify those spreading her private content, collect evidence and take legal action against them. Emphasising the importance of personal privacy, she made it clear that she was prepared to fight the matter legally.
