Hyderabad’s ambitious Musi River rejuvenation project is attracting international attention, with leading companies from 48 countries reportedly showing interest in the global tenders. The government has invited global bids for the first phase of the project, estimated at Rs. 7,345 crore. The large-scale initiative is expected to draw experienced companies with expertise in river development and urban infrastructure.
More than 30 major companies reportedly participated in the pre-bid meeting, reflecting the growing interest in the project. The selection process is not expected to depend on the lowest quotation alone. Instead, companies will be evaluated through a marks-based system that gives importance to both cost and quality. This approach is intended to ensure that the project meets the required standards while maintaining financial efficiency.
