The Andhra Pradesh government has announced measures to control the rising prices of onions and provide relief to consumers. As part of this initiative, onions will be sold at Rs. 35 per kilogram in Rythu Bazaars across the state starting tomorrow. The move is aimed at making onions available to consumers at an affordable price and preventing the burden of rising market rates on household budgets.
To support the initiative, the government has arranged for 800 metric tonnes of onions to be brought from Nashik to Andhra Pradesh. These onions will be distributed through Rythu Bazaars across the state. The government’s decision is expected to provide some relief to consumers struggling with high onion prices. The state-wide sales initiative will begin tomorrow, with onions being offered at the announced price of Rs. 35 per kilogram.
