Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, has revealed his plans to venture into filmmaking. In a recent interview, the actor said he intends to continue acting for around another decade before shifting his focus towards direction. He has already started working on a story and hopes to make his directorial debut within the next two to three years. Ranbir expressed his desire to create a family entertainer inspired by films such as Life Is Beautiful, It's a Wonderful Life and the works of Rajkumar Hirani.
Ranbir also revealed that he works for only around 100 to 125 days a year, giving him sufficient time to develop stories. He clarified that he does not intend to cast himself as the lead actor in his directorial venture. Before moving behind the camera, he plans to complete projects including Brahmastra 2, Animal 2 and Ramayana: Part 2. Meanwhile, he is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release on January 21 next year.
