Konda Sushmitha Reacts to Mother’s Dismissal

Konda Sushmitha has expressed strong anger over her mother Konda Surekha being removed from the Telangana Cabinet. In an emotional video message, Sushmitha broke down while saying that she could not accept the humiliation faced by her mother. She alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had taken out his anger against her on Surekha and blamed her mother for the fallout. Sushmitha said she would not have made her earlier remarks had she known they would lead to such consequences for her mother.

Sushmitha questioned whether it was justified to punish her mother for comments made by her and asked whether anyone could point out even one mistake committed by Surekha. She also alleged that her family, which has been involved in public service for decades, was being targeted. Referring to the political developments, she questioned whether a Chief Minister could reach a point where either she or her mother had to remain in the party. Sushmitha had earlier made strong remarks against Revanth Reddy and his family following Surekha’s dismissal, and her latest emotional statement has once again triggered political discussion in Telangana.
