Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief Kavitha questioned why action was being limited to officials accused of corruption during the previous government while those who allegedly backed them were not being held accountable. In a statement issued on Monday, she asked who would recover the thousands of crores allegedly siphoned off by those who used officials to carry out corrupt activities.
Kavitha also questioned who would expose alleged corruption under the present government and called for action against those exploiting government systems through officials. She said merely holding officials responsible would not be enough and demanded that those allegedly operating behind them should also be brought to account. She stressed the need to protect public resources meant for future generations.
