BJP Leaders Spread False Campaign Over My US Visit - CM Revanth Reddy

Speaking at a media conference at the Secretariat, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that BJP leaders had made false statements and personal allegations over his proposed visit to the United States. He said the Telangana government had planned the foreign tour with a focus on education, sports and attracting investments, as part of its broader development agenda. According to Reddy, all details of the proposed visit were submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs, which approved the UK leg but denied permission for the US visit.

Reddy questioned the Centre’s decision, pointing out that Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had reportedly been permitted to visit the US and Canada from August 17 to 28 as part of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative. He alleged that Telangana was being treated differently because of political considerations and said the issue was not a personal matter but an injustice to the people of Telangana. Reddy said Telangana MPs would raise the matter in Parliament and asserted that although his foreign visit could be stopped, the government’s development goals could not be derailed. He also announced that the Telangana Global Summit 2026 would be held on December 8 and 9 under the Invest Telangana initiative, with a focus on attracting investments in education and sports.
