England fast bowler Brydon Carse has been involved in a late-night incident outside a nightclub in Derby. A video circulating on social media appears to show Carse being handcuffed and escorted by police officers. The incident reportedly took place after Durham players celebrated their County Championship victory over Derbyshire.
Carse was reportedly detained briefly but was not formally arrested and no charges were brought against him. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has launched an investigation into the incident. The board has also confirmed that Carse will not be available for England’s second Test against Pakistan while the investigation is ongoing.
