I’ll Meet Jagan Only for a Wedding Invite: Sharmila

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief YS Sharmila has rejected the political speculation surrounding her. She said reports claiming that she had met certain people or was planning to join another party were completely baseless. Sharmila said she last met YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while inviting him to her son YS Raja Reddy’s wedding. She clarified that if she meets him again, it would only be to personally invite him to her daughter YS Anjili Reddy’s wedding.

Sharmila said there was nothing unusual about inviting the heads of all political parties to a family wedding and seeking their blessings for the couple. She warned against linking a family celebration with politics and said attempts to damage her political credibility and the trust placed in her by the public would not be tolerated. She also appealed to Telugu people to bless her daughter Anjili Reddy and Somala Raghuram Reddy as they begin their married life.
