Former minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu declared that he would not step back from his political struggle despite legal cases and imprisonment. Speaking to the media after his release from Rajamahendravaram Central Jail on Wednesday evening, he alleged that he had been jailed unjustly and reaffirmed his commitment to continue the fight under the leadership of YSRCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Rambabu stated that his struggle would continue democratically until the coalition government is defeated, adding that although his 18-day jail stay was challenging, he faced it with determination.
Several party leaders, including former ministers Venu and Taneti Vanitha, former MP Vanga Geetha, and other senior leaders, met Rambabu at the prison premises to express solidarity. Meanwhile, YSRCP supporters gathered in large numbers, creating commotion near the jail. Supporters attempted to push through barricades as Rambabu exited, forcing police to intervene. Traffic movement was disrupted as party workers raised slogans and accompanied his convoy with flags and drum performances. Rambabu later proceeded to the residence of former MLA Jakkampudi Raja in Rajamahendravaram, where he stayed overnight.
