The Congress party has accelerated the process of filling nominated posts in Telangana. At a meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and MP Vem Narender Reddy discussed the guidelines for appointing PACS chairpersons, directors, corporation heads and other nominated positions at the district, constituency and state levels. The leadership decided that all appointments would be made in accordance with the directions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the TPCC President, while giving due importance to the views of local party leaders.
District in-charge ministers will hold consultations with elected representatives, DCC presidents and senior party leaders before submitting recommendations to the TPCC. Around 60 percent of the nominated posts are expected to be allocated to leaders who have worked for the party over the years. The party also decided to ensure social justice by providing adequate representation to SCs, STs, BCs, minorities and women. After reviewing reports from all districts, the final list will be approved by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud.
