Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that a PowerPoint presentation on the Musi River rejuvenation project will be held on the 13th. He said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) related to the project will also be presented during the session. The Chief Minister asked opposition parties to clearly state whether they support the Musi river cleaning project or not. He said it is not appropriate to demand mosquito control while opposing the river rejuvenation works.
Revanth Reddy clarified that construction activities are not allowed in river buffer zones. If structures are built within these zones, they will have to be removed. He also stated that houses located within buffer zones will not have proper value in the future.
The Chief Minister advised that instead of politicizing the issue, discussions should focus on how to support and compensate those who may be affected by the project.
