CM Revanth Reddy Announces 15% Budget Allocation for Education.. Key Reforms Ahead!

Speaking during a discussion on the Education Department in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said it was a positive development that the state’s education policy was being debated in the House. He said the government would examine the suggestions made by members and take appropriate action. Revanth stressed that education is the key to bringing light into people’s lives and said the government is working towards formulating a new education policy.

The Chief Minister highlighted the increase in the Education Department’s budget and said the government had raised the allocation from Rs 19,093 crore in 2023-24 to Rs 26,647 crore in 2026-27. He said 10,006 teacher posts were filled within 55 days during the government’s first year in office. Revanth also spoke about introducing pre-primary education in government schools, with 64,000 students receiving the facility this year, along with improved nutrition, breakfast and midday meals. He said the government is focusing on global best practices and designing an education system keeping future generations, including Gen Alpha and Gen Beta, in mind.
