Chandrababu Naidu Unveils Six-Point Roadmap to Transform Tirumala into a Spiritual and Service Hub

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has outlined a six-point roadmap aimed at developing Tirumala as a spiritual and service-oriented destination while preserving its sanctity and improving facilities for devotees. Speaking to the media in Tirumala, he said the focus would be on environmental protection, technology-driven pilgrim services, transparency, healthcare, education, temple development and community participation. The plans include restricting new concrete construction on the hill and working towards making Tirumala a net-zero zone. The government also plans to generate 100 MW of green energy through solar, wind and pumped-storage projects and strengthen waste management and circular-economy initiatives. TTD has also recently launched 32 electric buses, taking the free bus fleet to 50.

Naidu said technology would be used to enhance the spiritual experience of devotees. The renovated Sri Venkateswara Museum, developed with TCS support, features four floors, 14 galleries, more than 8,000 exhibits, holographic displays and 360-degree sound. A VR-based “Durlabha Darshan” experience has also been introduced at Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1. The six-point programme covers Annaprasadam, Pranadanam and healthcare, expansion of Srivari Sevaks, skill-based education, temple construction through the Srivani Trust and environmental conservation under “Vruksha Govindam.” The CM also stressed greater transparency in the management of TTD assets, properties, jewellery and cash by documenting the details and placing them in the public domain.
