NDA leaders appealed to voters to support alliance candidates in the upcoming local body elections during a media briefing in Amaravati. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav addressed the meeting. Madhav said the coalition government was focusing on welfare, development and good governance. He stated that the alliance had fulfilled the promises made during the elections and continued working on them. He also noted that the state government was receiving support from the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Pawan Kalyan said the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP were working together for the local body elections and had reached a consensus on seat-sharing. He urged party leaders and workers to maintain unity at the grassroots level and support the candidates announced under the agreed arrangement. Acknowledging that seat-sharing in local elections could be more complicated than in general elections, he said the alliance had considered the state’s interests while finalising the arrangement. He also assured that steps would be taken to address the concerns of those who did not receive seats and called on voters to support the coalition candidates.
