Jadcherla MLA Anirudh Reddy has made strong remarks over the alleged delay in clearing bills for development works in his constituency. He said he was prepared to launch an indefinite hunger strike with the participation of 30,000 people to secure funds and accelerate development in Jadcherla. Questioning the alleged preference given to constituencies represented by ministers, he asked what would happen to other MLAs if payments were cleared only for ministerial constituencies. His comments came during a media interaction on Monday, where he stressed that balanced development across all constituencies was essential for the government’s continued stability.
Referring to a reported payment of ₹5 crore to a contractor following the contractor’s death in Nagarkurnool, Anirudh Reddy questioned whether bills in Jadcherla would be cleared only if something happened to him. He said he was ready to make any sacrifice for the development of his constituency, while emphasising that his primary focus was on farmers’ interests. The MLA also called for legislators and political leaders to unite beyond party lines to demand irrigation facilities and canals for Jadcherla. He vowed to continue fighting for farmers’ welfare and the region’s development, making the clearance of pending bills and the provision of irrigation infrastructure central to his demands.
