Vaibhav Reddy, son of veteran Telugu film director Kodandarami Reddy, has established himself as an actor with distinctive performances in both Telugu and Tamil cinema. He is now gearing up for his upcoming Tamil film Manikanda, which is generating interest with its spiritual theme. Vishnu Sasi Shankar, known for directing the Malayalam hit Malikappuram, is helming the project. Acclaimed director Venkat Prabhu is serving as the creative producer, while the film is being produced under the banners of Tantra Films Productions and JK Saravanan Rajaram Presents.
Set against the backdrop of devotion to Lord Ayyappa, the film blends spirituality with mass-action elements. The shooting is currently progressing at a brisk pace. The makers have recently unveiled Vaibhav Reddy’s first-look poster, in which he appears in a powerful avatar wearing rudraksha beads around his neck and wrists, with an idol of Lord Ayyappa featured in the background. Planned as a pan-India release, the film is expected to arrive in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada, with the makers indicating a possible release in November or December. The project is anticipated to be a significant addition to Vaibhav Reddy’s career.
