Case Against Ruchika Singh Over Modi Remarks

Noida Police have registered a case against 25-year-old Ruchika Singh over alleged objectionable remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during protests against the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar. The case was filed based on a complaint lodged by Supreme Court advocate Smriti Singh, who said she approached the police after a video of the remarks went viral on social media.

According to the complaint, the public remarks made against the Prime Minister were disrespectful to the dignity of a constitutional office. Police have begun an investigation and are examining the viral video along with other available evidence. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
