BRS Has No Right to Speak on Krishna Waters: Minister Srihari

State Animal Husbandry Minister Vakiti Srihari stated that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi has no right to comment on the Krishna river water issue. He questioned why the party failed to raise concerns when dams were being constructed in Karnataka during its tenure. The minister strongly condemned recent criticism made by former ministers and MLAs from the undivided Mahabubnagar district during their visit to the Gudur region in Karnataka.

Srihari alleged that the previous BRS government neglected farmers under the Jurala Project and failed to plan water storage from the Krishna and Bhima rivers for irrigation and drinking purposes. He said the present Congress government is moving forward systematically and has prepared DPRs for barrage-cum-bridge constructions on these rivers in coordination with Karnataka. He added that long-neglected flood-affected villages like Bhoothpur, Nedugam, Anugonda, Ankenapalli, and Dadampalli are now receiving attention for development, rehabilitation, and expansion projects. He criticized the opposition for indulging in political theatrics instead of constructive efforts.
