Nazriya Returns to Tamil Cinema After 12 Years

Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim, who won the hearts of South Indian audiences with films such as ‘Raja Rani’, is set to make her comeback to Tamil cinema after a gap of nearly 12 years. Her last Tamil film, ‘Thirumanam Enum Nikkah’, was released in 2014. Now, she is returning to the industry with the much-anticipated project ‘Scene’, which stars Kollywood actor Suriya as a powerful police officer. The film is directed by Jithu Madhavan, known for the Malayalam hit ‘Aavesham’, and also features young actor Naslen in a key role. The shooting has reportedly been completed, and the makers have announced a worldwide theatrical release on November 6.

With the release date approaching, the team has stepped up its promotional activities. At a recent event in Dubai, Nazriya became emotional as she spoke about returning to the city where she studied and making her comeback to Tamil cinema after such a long break. She expressed her gratitude to director Jithu Madhavan for trusting her with the role and thanked Suriya and Naslen as well. Describing her journey with ‘Scene’ as a special and unforgettable experience, Nazriya said she was happy to reconnect with her Tamil audience. She also expressed confidence that the film would offer audiences plenty of laughter when it arrives in theatres.
