

Addressing the joint session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature in Amaravati, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer stated that the NDA government has moved the state from a phase of reconstruction to a clear path of progress after overcoming administrative and financial challenges. He said ₹33,000 crore is being directly transferred annually to beneficiaries under the Super Six welfare promises. Under the NTR Bharosa scheme, 63.12 lakh pensioners are receiving benefits, while over 66 lakh mothers are being provided ₹15,000 annually under Thalliki Vandanam. The government is also extending ₹22,000 crore annually to 46.86 lakh farmers under Annadata Sukhibhava and providing three free gas cylinders to 1.08 crore poor families under Deepam 2.0. Efforts are underway to grant Amaravati permanent capital status, with Central assistance supporting construction works.
The Governor emphasized the government’s long-term vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a ₹308 lakh crore economy by 2047 under the Swarna Andhra Vision, targeting a per capita income of ₹55 lakh. He highlighted the P4 poverty eradication initiative, under which over one lakh mentors have adopted 10.30 lakh families, and announced support for one lakh women entrepreneurs this year. Major infrastructure plans include completing the Polavaram Project by 2027, accelerating metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, and positioning Amaravati as a global hub for AI and quantum technologies through the Quantum Valley initiative. He also underscored investments worth ₹13.25 lakh crore secured through industrial summits, aiming to generate over 16 lakh jobs.
