Simultaneous releases by films featuring leading Telugu stars are not uncommon at the box office. However, a clash involving two senior heroes always attracts special attention. Now, reports suggest that Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nagarjuna could potentially bring their upcoming films to theatres on the same date. Nagarjuna’s much-awaited ‘King 100’ has already been announced for a December 24 release. At the same time, industry circles are speculating that Balakrishna’s 111th film could also arrive on the same day. If the reports turn out to be true, it could set the stage for an interesting box-office clash between the two veteran stars.
The two actors had previously faced a similar situation in 1996, when Balakrishna’s ‘Vamsanikokkadu’ and Nagarjuna’s ‘Vajram’ were released on January 5. Nearly three decades later, the possibility of their films arriving on the same date has once again become a talking point among moviegoers and fans. However, the release date of Balakrishna’s 111th film has not yet been officially announced. If December 24 is confirmed, the clash is expected to generate considerable excitement, given the expectations surrounding both projects.
