Will ‘Vvaan’s’ OTT Release Put an Extra Financial Burden on Viewers?

Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, The Vvaan: The Force of the Forrest, starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Sidharth Malhotra, reportedly performed reasonably well at the box office. The folklore thriller is now gearing up for its digital debut. According to reports, Amazon Prime Video, which holds the film’s digital streaming rights, is expected to make it available from November 6, 2026. However, the film may initially be offered on a rental basis, meaning viewers could have to pay an additional amount to watch it, even if they already have a Prime Video subscription. The release date and rental model are yet to be officially confirmed.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, The Vvaan: The Force of the Forrest also features Shweta Tiwari, Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul and Anup Soni in important roles. The Hindi film is backed by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. If the reported rental model is implemented, viewers may need to make a separate payment to stream the film during its initial OTT window. It remains to be seen whether the current reports about the release date and viewing model will be confirmed by the makers or the streaming platform.
