Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan reportedly held a meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s residence in Undavalli on Thursday. According to the report, the leaders discussed recent developments surrounding local body elections in the state. Pawan Kalyan’s arrival without a convoy reportedly drew attention, as he visited the Chief Minister’s residence without the usual procession of security vehicles.
The discussions reportedly focused on election-related strategy following the Supreme Court’s direction to defer the announcement of the final list of candidates for urban local body elections. The leaders are also said to have reviewed campaign coordination among alliance partners for the upcoming Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) elections. Another key issue reportedly involved persuading rebel candidates in several constituencies to withdraw and support the alliance’s official nominees. The specific outcomes of the meeting have not been officially detailed in the information provided.
