Parvathipuram MLA Bonela Vijayachandra expressed confidence that candidates representing the ruling alliance would win all Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) seats in the constituency and take control of the Mandal Parishads. He made these remarks on Thursday while attending an MPTC nomination programme held at the Mandal Parishad President’s office in Parvathipuram. Jana Sena leader and PACS president Agurumani filed her nomination for the Narsipuram-2 MPTC seat, with Vijayachandra joining the programme to extend his support.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA criticised the previous YSRCP government, alleging that rural development had suffered during its tenure and that villages faced problems with basic infrastructure, sanitation and drinking water. He said the current alliance government was working to improve rural roads, provide household drinking-water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission, install streetlights and strengthen sanitation services. Vijayachandra expressed hope that the alliance would win the upcoming local body elections, including MPTC and ZPTC seats, and accelerate village development. AMC chairperson Gottapu Gouri, BJP district president Dwarapureddy Srinivasa Rao, former MPPs, alliance leaders and party workers attended the programme.
