‘Jailer 2’ Uncut Version on OTT? Editing Sparks New Debate

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is reportedly performing well in theatres, and several details about scenes removed during editing are now emerging, a week after its release. Director Nelson Dilipkumar is said to have made multiple changes to the final cut. After reports that some portions featuring Mohanlal were trimmed, the latest buzz suggests that a few scenes involving Rajinikanth himself were also left out of the theatrical version.

According to reports, Rajinikanth danced alongside around 200 girls in the song “Ala Bolelo,” which appears just before the interval. The villain also reveals that the person responsible for his friend’s death had been dancing with them all along. Actor Jaffer Sadiq reportedly said he had seen Rajinikanth dancing among the girls, but the sequence did not make it into theatres. Fans are now hoping that the deleted footage may be released on YouTube or included in an extended or uncut OTT version. However, the makers have not officially confirmed any such release plans. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features several actors in key roles, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
