Will Allow Release Only After Title Is Changed, Says Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has made significant observations regarding the controversy surrounding Ghooskhor Pandit, a film starring Manoj Bajpayee. The apex court directed the filmmakers to change the movie’s title, stating that such a name should not be allowed to demean or target any particular community. A notice has been issued to the producer in this regard.

The court clarified that permission for the film’s release cannot be granted until the title is revised. Emphasizing the need for sensitivity in public content, the bench noted that creative expression must not come at the cost of social harmony. The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey.
