

1. There is no longer any need to visit RTO offices for vehicle registration.
2. The Telangana State Government’s ‘Dealer Point Registration’ system has come into effect from today.
3. The trial run conducted yesterday at Madhapur was completed successfully.
4. From now on, vehicle buyers can upload photos and required documents online at the same showroom where the vehicle is purchased and obtain the registration number immediately.
5. The vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) will be delivered directly to the owner’s home by post.
From today, the Telangana Transport Department has implemented key reforms aimed at making vehicle-related services more citizen-friendly, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced. With the new system in place, vehicle owners purchasing a new vehicle will no longer need to visit Regional Transport Offices for permanent registration. Instead, permanent vehicle registration will now be completed directly at the respective vehicle dealer showrooms, significantly reducing time and inconvenience for the public.
The minister stated that the Transport Department is steadily moving all its services online to ensure transparency and ease of access. Telangana has joined the national “Sarathi” platform, enabling smoother digital delivery of transport services. He also highlighted that the department has introduced progressive policies such as the Electric Vehicle Policy and Vehicle Scrappage Policy to modernize the sector. Through these wide-ranging reforms, the government aims to bring transport services closer to the people and has urged citizens to cooperate for the successful implementation of these initiatives.
