In a major move to reform intermediate education, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has received Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s approval for key changes. Starting from the next academic year, first-year students will also have to take practical examinations, which were earlier limited to second-year students.As part of the new system, 80% of marks will be allotted for written exams, while 20% will be reserved for internal assessments. Officials say this step aims to enhance students’ practical understanding and holistic learning.Additionally, the board plans to introduce a new stream called ACE (Accountancy, Commerce, Economics) from the upcoming academic year.
