The Supreme Court has issued key directions in the Andhra Pradesh traffic e-challan case and has temporarily stayed the arbitration orders related to the Data Evolve company, which developed the Digi Yatra app. The state government approached the court alleging irregularities in the collection of traffic challans.
The petition stated that the company collected challans based on a contract valid only for three years and allegedly diverted around ₹37 crore to personal accounts. The Supreme Court has issued notices to Data Evolve seeking its response on these allegations and the matter will be examined further.
