The grand Srisailam temple, revered as the abode of Lord Venkateswara and a majestic pilgrimage akin to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, is set for significant development. The aim is to ensure devotees can have a peaceful darshan experience regardless of the crowds. Facilities such as daily annadanam and free morning tiffin services are already part of the improvement plan.
Earlier, governments led by NTR and Chandrababu Naidu played a key role in enhancing the temple. Setting aside political differences, there is unanimous agreement on this cause. Now, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed that another prominent temple, Mallanna Temple in Srisailam, be developed in a similar manner.
Recently on Sunday, the Chief Minister met at his residence with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, and other officials to discuss a comprehensive master plan for developing Mallanna Temple akin to Tirumala. This development will ensure that thousands of devotees can have hassle-free darshan.
Key Development Plans:
Allocating 2,000 hectares of sanctuary land around Srisailam for temple expansion.
Petitioning the central government to acquire the land.
Developing surrounding areas into tourist hubs to increase revenue.
Expanding the sole access route and connecting it to national highways.
Expanding and enhancing the Pulula sanctuary area.
Building more cottages and lodging facilities for devotees.
Upgrading annadanam and other essential facilities.
Expanding queue lines.
Introducing facilities similar to Tirumala and Sabarimala.
Fully developing the Srisailam temple with modern facilities within the next two years.
