

The State Cabinet will convene today at 3 PM at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. A key discussion is expected on the RTC employees’ strike, with the government likely to take a decision on 32 demands raised by workers. The cabinet is also set to deliberate on the possible merger of RTC. Additionally, the meeting will review the next course of action following the High Court verdict on the Kaleshwaram project and may take decisions based on the PC Ghosh Commission report.
The cabinet is also expected to discuss issues related to metro acquisition, local body elections including ZPTC, MPTC, and GHMC, and may provide clarity on the election schedule. The framework for the Indiramma Family Insurance Scheme is likely to be finalized, with implementation targeted from June 2. Other agenda items include MLC nominations, Governor quota appointments, caste survey data, public governance progress plans, compensation for farmers affected by rains, paddy procurement, land allocation for companies, and a possible increase in CSR funds.
