

The government has completed all arrangements for the release of the second phase of Rythu Bharosa funds, an investment support scheme for farmers in the state. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to release the second tranche of funds on the 20th of this month (the day after tomorrow). Under this scheme, investment support will be extended to around 1.50 crore acres across the state. An amount of ₹6,000 per acre will be directly credited into the farmers’ bank accounts. On the same day, the fund release programme will be held at a public meeting in Kataram, Bhupalpally district, in the presence of the Chief Minister and ministers.
Telangana has a total of 73 lakh farmers. The first phase of assistance was disbursed on the 23rd of last month, when the government directly credited investment support for each eligible acre into farmers’ accounts, amounting to nearly ₹3,590 crore. In the second phase, 45,11,947 farmers are set to benefit, with a total of ₹5,653 crore to be credited, as stated by the Agriculture Department. Following this phase, the government is also making arrangements to release the third phase of funds at the earliest.
