

Polling for the Assembly elections is set to take place tomorrow in the states of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Extensive arrangements have been completed for these elections. In Tamil Nadu, voting will be conducted across a total of 234 constituencies, with 4,023 candidates in the fray. Across the state, 5.73 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise. 75,064 polling stations have been established for the voting process, and 85,875 police personnel have been deployed to ensure security.
Meanwhile, the first phase of polling is scheduled to be held tomorrow in West Bengal. Voting will be conducted for 152 constituencies across 16 districts, with 1,478 candidates contesting. Approximately 2.5 lakh personnel from central forces have been deployed to ensure the peaceful conduct of these elections. Additionally, over 8,000 "highly sensitive" polling stations have been identified, and special security measures have been implemented for them.
Against this backdrop, officials have stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure that the elections proceed peacefully in both states.
