Reports are emerging in international media that the United States has intercepted an aircraft transporting a massive amount of cash from Iran to Iraq. It is reported that the U.S. Air Force intercepted the plane, which was carrying currency worth approximately $500 million. However, Iran has not yet officially responded to this incident.
Amidst the recently escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran, allegations have surfaced that Iran is providing financial aid to Iran-backed militant groups operating in Iraq. International reports suggest that this aid could potentially be used to launch attacks on U.S. military bases located in the region. Against this backdrop, it is reported that the United States has also suspended the financial assistance it provides to Iraq.
The tense situation prevailing in the Middle East is creating further difficulties for Iraq. The ongoing developments between Iran and the United States have become a major headache for the country. Although the Iraqi government has not directly extended support to Iran, the United States has expressed concern regarding the actions of Iran's supporters within the country. In light of these circumstances, Iraqi officials have stated that security cooperation between the two nations has also been suspended.
