OpenAI has launched its next generation image generation model, ChatGPT Images 2.0 offering improved accuracy, better instruction following, and enhanced composition capabilities. The model is designed to generate more precise and context aware images based on user prompts. It is now available across ChatGPT, Codex, and API platforms, with advanced features accessible to paid subscribers.
The new model introduces strong multilingual support, allowing users to create visuals with accurate text in multiple languages. It also improves consistency across styles such as photorealistic images, cinematic visuals, pixel art, and manga. With support for up to 2K resolution and flexible aspect ratios, it can handle complex layouts including user interface designs, posters, and infographics. Additionally, it includes reasoning capabilities, enabling it to process complex tasks and generate multiple consistent outputs from a single prompt.
Despite these advancements, OpenAI noted some limitations. The model may struggle with highly complex physical tasks, dense visual details, or unusual viewing angles. Certain outputs like diagrams may still require manual verification, and higher-resolution outputs beyond 2K remain in the testing phase. Overall, ChatGPT Images 2.0 is expected to support a wide range of applications including design, education, and marketing.
