A social media post has sparked interest after a netizen tagged Lenskart co-founder Piyush Bansal, suggesting that the company provide subscriptions to Hyderabad Traffic Police. In a post on X, Shashank Shekhar Jha proposed that the expense could be covered under Lenskart’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The suggestion followed an exchange in which Hyderabad Traffic Police asked a user to submit a clearer photograph to verify a suspected number plate violation.
The incident began when a user named Serish shared a photograph of a vehicle spotted near the Panjagutta signal and questioned the authorities about a number plate featuring the digits “5112.” Responding to the post, Hyderabad Traffic Police said the violation was not clearly visible in the rear-view photograph and requested a clear image of the vehicle from the front to take appropriate action. The Lenskart subscription suggestion subsequently drew attention online. However, no response from Piyush Bansal or Lenskart, or official confirmation of further action against the vehicle, was available in the posts cited.
