Smriti Mandhana achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming India’s highest run-scorer in T20 internationals across both men’s and women’s cricket. Despite India Women’s team suffering a six-wicket defeat against South Africa in the first match of the five-match T20 series, Mandhana’s achievement stood out. She scored 13 runs in the match to reach a total of 4,244 runs in 161 innings.
With this feat, Smriti Mandhana surpassed legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who had previously scored 4,188 and 4,231 runs respectively. In women’s cricket, captain Harmanpreet Kaur follows with 3,854 runs, while Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma occupy the third and fourth spots with 2,587 and 2,553 runs respectively.
