

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of ReNew Solar Energy’s 6.5 GW ingot-wafer manufacturing plant at Rambilli in Anakapalli district. Addressing the gathering after the ceremony, he stated that Anakapalli is rapidly emerging as a major investment hub and is set to become one of the leading districts in India in terms of industrial investments. He highlighted that the project, with an investment of ₹5,400 crore, will significantly boost the state’s renewable energy sector. The event was attended by ReNew Chairman Sumant Sinha, Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu, MP Ramesh, and several public representatives.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Andhra Pradesh is focusing on large-scale power generation projects to drive development, noting that electricity consumption is a key indicator of economic growth. He said the government aims to produce 160 GW of green energy, with investments worth ₹5.95 lakh crore already attracted. He also mentioned that proposals and MoUs for 90 GW are in place, while NTPC Green Energy is investing ₹1.85 lakh crore. Naidu assured that power tariffs will not be increased, reaffirming the government’s election promise. He criticized the previous administration for canceling PPAs and causing financial burdens, stating that the current government is committed to rebuilding the state through transparent governance and sustainable development.
